Adam skrev den fotojournalistiska bloggen ah! några år fram till början av 2008, och upptäckte då vad som tycktes vara ett uppdämt intresse att diskutera fotografi och dess journalistiska och dokumentära aspekter.
Pawel och Adam började löst prata om att bygga ut bloggen till ett diskussionsforum. Det ledde såsmåningom till att en redaktion bildades, och under hösten 2007 diskuterades utformningen på sidan fram.
Design och struktur är gjord av Jonas Eriksson, interaktionsdesignstudent i Malmö, i samråd med redaktionen. Webmaster är Daniel Jonsson, student vid KTH i Stockholm.
